The secret life of a premed.
well as you can tell..
this sounds like i am a double agent. or something mysterious. and to tell you the truth..
I feel like I am living a double life, and I kinda like it.
You see, everyone who knows me on a the regular every day basis, knows me as Ben, a 23 year old pre med student who lives in New Orleans.
As you can tell, my every day life is filled with school stuff. medical stuff. yea it seems boring to most, but i really enjoy it.
For some reason the medical field has always been one i have steered towards.
For some kids when they are small, even the sight of blood can make them squeamish, not me.
I’m not saying that is the only reason why i am a pre-med student, but it was a good sign that I would be ok in the field.
That, tacked on with the fact that i really feel like i want to help people.
That leads me into my “secret life”
Well, everyone knows me as someone who always has his head in the books.
But as of lately, something else has really been getting my attention.I’ve never really been into sports as a kid. It might have been due to the fact that i was always involved with studies. Not saying I sucked at sports, just the time wasn’t really there. I occasionally liked playing football with my cousins when they came over.
I guess what I’m trying to say is i really haven’t been labeled “an athlete”
A couple months ago, i really came to a realization of something. I need to take better care of my health. and lets be honest, i really wanted a six pack.
hey we all want superficial things from time to time right?
Well, i did some research and decided that i was going to start lifting weights.
I instantly fell in love with it.
I don’t know if it was just the rush of picking up the weights and getting that “pump” or the fact that it was something that i wasn’t used to, but i got hooked.
So what exactly is my secret?
well, this premed student is also a bodybuilder now.
I want to use this blog to share my journey with you guys. I’ll keep you guys updated with everything, as well as share any tips for those who are interested.
Anyway, that’s it for now, tomorrow I will be posting what I did when I first got started in bodybuilding.
